It’s been a chaotic Monday for the Sixers. Second, Embiid had been declared OUT for Monday’s game against the Knicks, to give you rest in the first game on consecutive nights. The plan was for him to play the Tuesday against the Bucks, but this will not be possible when entering the coronavirus protocol.
The 76ers are 8-2 at the start of the season. After the game against Milwaukee, they play at home against the Raptors on Thursday, after which they begin a tour in Indiana, Utah, Denver, Portland, Sacramento and Golden State, returning to Philadelphia on November 27 against the Timberwolves.
According to Shams Charania de The Athletic, 76ers personnel have already received the additional dose of the Covid vaccine that the NBA has demanded since last week and the players were going to get it this week.
Embiid is averaging 21.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists so far this season. He had already lost a game, against Portland on November 1, for a knee injury.
