NBA Market: Utah Jazz has officially confirmed that Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, and Ochai Agbaji are players from the Salt Lake City team thus confirming the transfer of Donovan Mitchell a Cleveland Cavaliers. The agreement between both franchises took place on September 1st and also includes 3 unprotected first rounds and 2 pick swaps. Once the 3 players who arrive in Utah have passed the relevant medical tests, the Jazz have made the agreement official.
Utah worked for much of the summer to find a new assignment for Mitchell. The organization set a high price for their All-Star and was in no hurry, which ultimately led them to accept the Cavs’ offer. On the other hand, Cleveland improved their roster with the arrival of a top star in Donovan Mitchell, enhancing a roster that includes All-Stars Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland, and second-year rookie Evan Mobley.
With this agreement, the two franchises have come out winning and nobody has considered it a “scandal” like Rudy Gobert’s to the Timberwolves. On the one hand, Utah completes its first-round roster and, on the other, improves its roster with quality young players. On the other hand, as we have mentioned, the Cavs win a star without losing too much in terms of players.
