Career for Chelsea FC. The Chairman of the Board of Governors of the North American Basketball League (NBA), representative of the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Maple Leafs in the American Hockey League (NHL), Larry Tanenbaum has joined the American consortium led by the owner of the Boston CelticsStepehn Pagliuca, who intends to buy Chelsea FC.

The consortium led by Pagliuca is one of the four candidates to take control of the club, after the sanctions imposed by the British Government on Russia and that have forced Roman Abramovich to get rid of him. At the moment, The English team has its assets frozen, which prevents it from earning money from ticket sales and marketing.

Tanenbaum has joined the Pagliuca group, with the intention of strengthening this option and convincing the Raine Group, the US bank that mediates in the operation, according to advances Sky Sports. Pagliuca, who owns part of Atalanta, in Serie A, should get rid of his shares in the Italian team if he becomes owner of Chelsea.

The term to present the candidatures has been extended and it will not be until next week when a favorite is chosen. The purchase is expected to be finalized in May, with enough time for Chelsea to plan for next season.

Another of the offers presented is from Todd Boehly, owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, a baseball team. The other was presented by Josh Harris and David Blitzer, two magnates who own several sports teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA and the New Jersey Devils of the NHL.

These two millionaire groups joined a bid in which the Rickets family, another American group, was already involved. The Rickets own the Chicago Cubs, a team from the American League of Baseball (MLB), which they have managed since 2009, when they bought the club for 845 million dollars and they aspire to enter the bid for the blue team.
