Atlanta hawks have a big project on their hands, but NBA Analysis Network’s Grant Afseth thinks taking a chance on a trade for Ben simmons it would make a lot of sense to them. In the commercial scenario proposed by this American journalist, the Hawks would send a package that includes Cam Reddish, Danilo Gallinari and Onyeka Okongwu to Philadelphia sixers in exchange for Simmons.
It is a great offer, but we must not forget the potential that the Australian has despite all the extra sport that has been accompanying him in recent times. Adding Ben would be an intriguing addition to Atlanta and the NBA rumors this idea is gaining momentum.
Simmons would fit in by giving them another young star to pair with Trae Young and he may still have a lot of flaws in his game, but having him on the court could help the Hawks hide Young’s biggest weakness which is the defensive end.
4 years ago today, Ben Simmons set an NBA record for most FT attempts in a quarter: 24!
I finished with 31 PTS (15/29 FT), 18 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 2 BLK, W
Ben Wallace (2005) & Dwight Howard (2013) had the previous record with 20. pic.twitter.com/bkp0em5jGH

The 76ers point guard is coming off averaging 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season and his very complete game may be the best possible complement for Young. The Hawks may be showing some improvement in their recent game, but if they want to make another deep run in the playoffs they could use a trade for Simmons. While in Philadelphia they would get rid of a problem by receiving good players who fit salary with the departure of Ben.
