ALICANTE. The residents of the surroundings of the golf course in the district of Playa de San Juan de Alicante, and the property of Alicante Golf, have claimed this Friday a solution that allows increasing the water for irrigation of the facilities coming from the Monte Orgegia treatment plant after that, this year, there has been “a drastic reduction in supply” derived from said station, according to neighborhood spokespersons and spokespersons for the owners of the field.
According to the same sources, “this reduction, in addition to affecting the irrigation necessary to maintain the installation, causes the lakes in the field to be well below their minimum level.”
In addition, they add that “this situation, together with the episodes of high temperatures, gives rise to bad odors that affect our players and the residents of the golf course”, in whose surroundings more than 2,500 bungalows are distributed, according to representatives of the Association of Neighbors Together We Advance, as a mediating entity between the property of the field and the residents.
The same sources have stressed that “from the company in charge of the water supply, they inform us that they are taking measures to be able to correct this problem and to be able to regularize the usual supply”.
