Joaquín Niemann had a spectacular debut at LIV Golf. The Chilean is second after the first round played in Boston. With a score of 64 strokes, the national finished Friday with a -6 card and is one stroke behind leader Matthew Wolff.

A streak of birdies between the 5th and 8th holes put Niemann in the -4 part of the table. For the return, three other birdies (11, 17 and 18) and a single bogey on 14 made him complete the round among the best of the day.

Also, he was by far the best of his TORQUE GC team. Niemann fulfilled his role as captain perfectly in a team that did not accompany him: Scott Vincent finished T30 (Par), Jediah Morgan T37 (+1) and Adrián Otaegui 46 (+5).

Matthew Wolff closed the day with 63 hits (-7) and is followed by Niemann, Talor Gooch and Cameron Smith with -6.
