The trainer of the Panamanian world qualifier, Jaime Arboleda, the former world champion Ricardo ‘El Maestrito’ Córdoba stated that he knows that his pupil must use the boxing qualities and physical advantages that he has in his fights and not go to the clash in order to avoid an exchange of unnecessary hits.
Arboleda defeated Dominican Nicolás Polanco by majority decision on Friday night in the main event of the ‘Box & Roll’ show.
However, Arboleda was about to be knocked out in the second round by going down twice.
“We are working on his physical strength, that he uses more of his boxing, his distance using the jab and other resources. He likes to trade a lot of punches, sometimes unnecessary, having a physical advantage in this category. A good job was done but the victory could have been in a clearer way”, said Córdoba.
