Participate in the solidarity auction of unique golf bags



The bag with which Callaway golfers have played this Open Championship.

One of the most striking aspects of the past OpenChampionship of Old Coursein st andrewshas been the bag that the 34 players of Callaway during the tournament. As usual, it is a special limited edition, but this time it has much more significant nuances.

The design has been made by a young creator from St Andrews. She won a contest among many other contestants. Among the jury there were some professionals like Danny Willett, Min Woo Lee or Oliver Wilson. The winner is called Iona Turner and she is 17 years old. Her project won among ten finalists. The ten bags that made it to the final stage have been reproduced in a large sculpture and have been on display in the streets of St Andrews during Open week.

Well, uOnce the Open is over, these ten sculptures, which have been part of a tour called The Big Bag Trailwill be auctioned at a special event that will take place this Tuesday, July 19, at the Tom Morris Bar & Grill of the club house St Andrews Links. Proceeds will go to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland and Scottish Sports Futures (Changing Lives Through Sport).

Celebrating the St Andrews community’s contribution to this bag design competition and The Big Bag Trail, this special auction will also be accessible to the public remotely. You just have to register through this link.
