PSOE and environmentalists reject the golf course agreed with Sareb in Monte Faro

The agreement between the Sanxenxo C

The agreement between the Sanxenxo City Council and Sareb to reactivate several residential estates, including Monte Faro, with more than 1,200 homes and a course, has already collided with the opposition of the local and the Colectivo Ecoloxista do Salnés ( CES).

The socialist mayor Ainhoa Fervenza points out that this type of facility consumes “excessive” water, so “it does not seem like the most sustainable option”, and recalls that there is already a golf course a few kilometers from Sanxenxo, in Castrove .

For its part, the CES sees this urbanization in Monte Faro as “unjustified”, “so far from the urban core”, so it doubts that it will serve to cover the needs of a first home.
