Pula Golf Resort is 100% committed to sustainability since its founding. The Resort has developed all its activity minimizing the ecological impact on the environment and prioritizing regeneration. Following the pioneering spirit of sustainability, Pula Golf Resort has designed a model of Competitive Regenerative Hotel (HRC) from the hand of The Good Footprint, leading company in the sector.
The HRC method is based on the identification of the negative and positive impacts of the activity of Pula Golf Resort. Thus, strengths are enhanced and negative externalities are minimized. The result is an increase in the positive effects of that same activity.
The HRC structures strategies taking into account several factors. Sustainability goals cannot be a one-off event, they have to be a new way of working. Therefore, planning is done jointly with civil society, universities, private companies and public administration. Only with the alliance of everyone’s priorities can a coherent and lasting sustainability project be created.
Pula Golf Resort and La Buena Huella have a vision and a purpose, embodied in the 2021/2022 strategic plan. The objective is to generate more resources than are consumed, becoming the first regenerative golf course in the world. The actions foreseen in the strategic planning will make Pula Golf return more natural resources than it consumes.
Pula Golf goes further, not only focusing on minimizing its environmental impact, but actively improving it, hence these sustainability actions are essential for the social and natural cohesion of Son Servera. All the sustainability actions promoted at Pula Golf Resort have the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a general framework. Generating more resources than they consume is an ambitious goal, that is why they have equipped themselves with a good plan and a great decision to achieve it.
