The first store has already opened its doors in the business district of Moscow.
Khabib Nurmagomédov, mixed martial arts fighter and former UFC champion, has founded a new chain of fast food restaurants called M-eat by Khabib, as announced by a representative of the athlete last weekend.
According to Védomosti, the fighter has already opened the franchise’s first location in one of the skyscrapers in the Moscow business district. The chain is managed by Nurmagomédov’s company, M-eat Group Franchising, which plans to open other 14 locations in Moscow by the end of May, and another 150 by the end of 2023, including in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
restaurants will sell stewed meats of different types, such as chicken, beef and horse, served inside buns with various dressings. Nurmagomedov’s representative reported that the dish is called ‘Breadm-eat’, and that the company has obtained a patent for the product.
The spokesman also specified that M-eat Group plans to set up a factory in Russia to produce the ingredients for the chain, and that it may end up selling its products in grocery stores in the future.
Nurmagomedov, 33, a native of the Republic of Dagestan, Russian Caucasus region, is the most followed Russian on Instagram, where he has more than 32 million subscribers on his account.
With 29 wins and not a single loss, he is considered the best lightweight in mixed martial arts (MMA) history, and was ranked number 1 at the time of his retirement in March 2021. He was the lightweight champion longest lasting in the UFC, having held the title from April 2018 until he retired.
