MEXICO CITY, January 10 (EL UNIVERSAL) .- The world of sports returns to dress in mourning after the death of the Russian boxer, Arrest Sahakyan, who at the age of 26 died after being in a coma for more than 10 days.
The reason why he was in a coma was after the fight he had against his compatriot Igor Semernin on December 26.
Sahakyan was knocked out in said fight and immediately received medical assistance, later he was transferred to a nearby hospital to treat an inflammation in the brain caused by the blows and to undergo surgery.
After the operation it was determined that the head injury was very serious. Days later he was induced into a coma, until he died. Arrest Sahakyan had little experience as a professional boxer, having only had nine fights, in which six were wins and the other three were defeated.
