CANCÚN, Q. ROO.- The fighter Sean O’Malley is out of the ranking in the bantamweight division, however, this Saturday at UFC 269, he will have his third fight on a stellar card. ‘Sugar’ promised a show when he faces Raulian Paiva and explained why he appears in the main matches, even though he is not yet in the Top 15 of his division.

The 27-year-old American boasts a record of 14 wins, 10 by knockout and only one loss. O’Malley has become recognized in social networks for his effectiveness in hitting and his ease in attacking rivals, both with his fists and with words. “Sugar” claimed that it is his ability to sell the fights that attracts attention and puts him above other renowned fighters on major cards.

“If they think Dominick Cruz (10th place in the rankings and former bantamweight champion) and Pedro Munhoz (8th) could beat more pay-per-views than I could, they’d put them on the main card. I think the UFC is a business and they understand what they are doing, “O’Malley said in an interview for MMA on Fighting.

‘Sugar’ will seek his 11th knockout against Raulian Paiva at UFC 269. The Brazilian is coming off three consecutive victories within the promoter and will try to turn off his rival’s show.
