The Police of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, are searching for a 32-year-old man after being captured by the security cameras of the building where he lives how he beats his four-year-old stepson.
This is Victor Arthur Possobom, who described himself as a boxing practitioner and fan on social media. He even published a photo with the caption “family” on the left side of his chest.
The incident took place in a residential condominium in the city of Niterói. According to reports from the Icaraí prosecutor’s office, the investigation is in the investigation stage with the collection of statements from several witnesses.
“The recorded attacks against the child were carried out in February, but the images were released today,” reported the Brazilian portal UOL.
In one of the recordings, the subject appears sitting next to the child on a sofa in the building’s lobby. Later, after pretending to tell him something, he begins with the attacks that are only stopped to look to the sides of him in order to rule out the presence of any witnesses.
In a dialogue with UOL, the boy’s mother, Jessica Jordão, who claimed to be unaware of the violent episodes, said: “I found out after seeing the security footage. The building administrator filed a complaint with the Guardianship Council and the police station. My son went to live with his grandfather, I tried to leave the house, but he wouldn’t let me”.
In another clip, Possobom enters the building’s elevator with the minor. The boy, who was wearing a mask, appears to show something he had on his face to his stepfather. Moments later, the man attacks him without imagining that everything would be filmed.
“During the time that he had me trapped in the apartment, he assaulted me, abused me. I got pregnant and lost a son to the attacks. He already had an aggressive behavior with me, but I never imagined that with my son too, ”denounced Jordao, who stated that her ex-partner“ wore boxing gloves so as not to leave marks.
Currently, the attacker has his accounts deactivated and faces a complaint for “bodily injury due to domestic violence.”
