The South African Boxing Commission reported on the unfortunate death of days after his fight against Sipheshile Mntungwa, in which he went viral for losing consciousness and throwing several punches into the air.

In that fight in Greyville Convention Center in Durban, South Africa, Buthelezi was winning the fight, as he hit Mntungwa several times, who almost fell out of the ring; after that, the 24-year-old lost consciousness and started throwing punches into the aireven some of them were first directed at the referee, believing that he was their rival.

Realizing the situation, the referee decided to stop the contest and Simiso was taken to the hospital, where days later he died.
