After an intense week spent at the Campestre de Aguascalientes golf club, this Saturday the actions of the traditional Calaveras Tournament will culminate, an event that brought together more than 350 players from different states of the Republic.
This important golf championship began last Tuesday with the first round of the lower categories, then on Wednesday the most prominent began their participation. On Thursday morning the second round of the first categories took place, while this Friday, the professionals finished their regular stage.
Once the best of each category have been identified throughout the two stages, this Saturday the final phase will take place to define the champions of each category, as well as the winners of the incredible prizes of oyes, which range from bags and clubs, up to cash prizes of more than $ 100,000 pesos.
The tournament awards dinner will be held tonight starting at 7:30 pm with the reception of the players at the Marriott Hotel in Aguascalientes, thus closing the traditional Calaveras 2021 tournament.
Within category “C”, the most outstanding throughout the two stages were Diego Papadmitruo, Arensten Dávila and Valente Palacio, the most outstanding of the Senior categories were Gonzalo Bejarano, Fernando Battaglia, Jesús García and Juan Gurittez; Regarding the women’s category, the best three in the first two laps were Karla Ventura, Pilar Martínez and Rosario Ávila.
In the categories, some of the favorites to win the championship in their respective category are Juan Manuel de Luna, Manuel Lavin de la Riva, Ángel Aguirre, Luis García Gascon, Antonio Sandoval Reyes, Luis de la Cruz, Alfredo Martín, Sergio Báez, Gustavo Lara, Ezequiel Pérez, Javier Romero, Brandon Mora, among others.
Finally, some golfers who have already secured an award in hear are Israel Cárdenas, José Gutiérrez, Alfonso Pérez, Werne Heinz, Alejandro Álvarez, Julio Camacho, Osvaldo Pérez, as well as Daniel García and Octavio Aréchiga even in more than one hole.
