The DP World Tour sanctions golfers who played LIV Golf

ANDhe DP World Tour has already officially communicated to golfers that played the LIV Golf Invitational in London and were members of his circuit, who will be sanctioned and prohibited from playing the next tournaments, that is, the Scottish Open, Barracuda Championship and Barbasol, all of them organized jointly with the PGA Tour.

Also, the DP World Tour imposes a fine of £100,000 on these players. “It is important to note that participation in an additional conflicting tournament(s) without the required release may incur additional sanctions,” a statement from the formerly known as the European Tour said. These players will be able to play the British Open.

Remember that the PGA Tour suspended 17 members who played in LIV Golf’s inaugural event, which was won by South African Charl Schwartzel.

The next LIV Golf event will be held in Portland, Oregon, from June 30 to July 2.
