The four rules that Arsene Wenger proposes to modify in football
Arsene wenger and the FIFA they continue with his plans to change international soccer tournaments and rules and now they will present four modifications to the regulation.
The former Arsenal manager and now FIFA Head of Global Development will present his proposals to the International Board (in charge of world soccer rules) at the next assembly.
These are the modifications that Wenger will propose, according to the newspaper L’Equipe:
Out of place
The logic will be reversed: if a part of the body (with which one can legitimately score a goal) is aligned with a defender, it will be enough to consider that it is in the correct position. Currently the opposite is marked: if a part of the body is ahead, it is out of place.
The ball may leave and re-enter the court without touching the grass on a corner kick; Wenger believes that debt collectors have a narrow angle of view.
The ball can be played immediately by the same player who took the free kick without having to play it with a second teammate.
After receiving a goal against, the serve would no longer be in half court; Wenger considers the team that resumes play to be at a disadvantage by having all their players in their half of the field.
“A serve for you should be an advantage, but in these situations you face 10 outfield players in play, whereas you only have nine (for the goalkeeper and the one who puts the ball into play). The statistics show that in 8 Out of every 10 of those serve situations, you lose the ball in your half of the court. “
With these modifications, Arsene Wenger believes that the game will be more agile, give more advantages to the attacking team and increase the chances of scoring.
