The Professional Golf Tour starts in San Miguel de Allende

For the fourth time in the history of the Professional Tour, the Ventanas de San Miguel Golf & Resort welcomes the only paid golf circuit in our country, this time for the fifth date of the 2021 season.

The II ProAm Ventanas de San Miguel will start tomorrow with the participation of 75 professionals, who will play the tournament with an amateur. Among the players that stand out in the field is José de Jesús “Camarón” Rodríguez, champion of the fourth stage last month in Amanali.

“I am very happy to return to where they always treat us wonderfully. This format is different from what has become normal, living with amateurs will be very nice. I see all the amateurs very happy with this tournament, ”said“ Camarón ”Rodríguez, winner at Ventanas de San Miguel in 2017.

Currently, Rodríguez, a member of the Korn Ferry Tour, is in the second position of the Ranking at 120,492 points from the first place the Guatemalan José Toledo. “Day by day one works to the maximum to try to win and we hope in God we play well,” added the Guanajuato.

For his part, José Toledo commented: “I am very happy to be in Mexico again, I have just played three tournaments on the PGA Tour Latin America. Ventanas de San Miguel is a great field and the city not to mention, it reminds me a lot of Antigua Guatemala so it brings back many memories, it will be a different tournament playing with amateurs ”.

Players such as the Mexicans Isidro and Juan Carlos Benítez, Armando Favela, Óscar Fraustro, Carlos Treviño, as well as the Brazilians Alexander Rocha, Rafael Becker and the Argentine Alan Wagner will also be present. The II ProAm Ventanas de San Miguel is part of the Dev Series of the PGA Tour Latin America and will distribute a purse of one million 600 thousand pesos.
