The University of Valladolid has signed two collaboration agreements with the Soria Basketball Club and the Soria Golf Club in order to promote university sports activity, the involvement and support of the Soria Campus for provincial sports and to promote and reinforce academic contents of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. Both agreements were signed by the Vice-Rector of the Campus, José Luis Ruiz Zapatero, while the sports clubs were represented by their respective presidents: Rodrigo Gómez Conejo, from the Soria Basketball Club, and Ramsés López Gutiérrez, from the Soria Golf Club.
With both agreements, the aim is to promote sports practice among the university community, the practice of physical activity in a natural environment, the dissemination of sports values among students, enhancing the possibilities of integration and social participation, and enrich the academic contents of the Degree. in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
From the Soria Basketball Club, this agreement is considered as one more action in the line of growth of the entity in recent years. This agreement is a framework in which to develop very positive actions for its technical team and also for the university community to have more sporting ties with basketball in Soria.
This season the CSB has had more than 200 players in federated competitions, 17 coaches and volunteers, and its national first division teams have players who are students of the University of Valladolid.
