SANTO DOMINGO.- With the participation of the best Olympic fighters in the country, the XXXVl National Elite Boxing Championship 2021 of the Dominican Republic will be held, starting next Friday, November 12.

The fair organized by the Dominican Federation of Amateur Boxing (Fedoboxa) will take place until Sunday 14 of this month at the Carlos Teo Cruz Coliseum, located in the La Fe expansion of the National District.

The lawyer Rubén García, president of Fedoboxa, when offering the information specified that the opening ceremony will be at 7:00 at night and will be headed by the Minister of Sports, engineer Francisco Camacho, as well as the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Antonio Acosta.

Free entry to the public will be allowed, always observing the measures established for these purposes by the Ministry of Public Health, consisting of the presentation of a vaccination card at the door or a negative test for the coronavirus.

Juan Alberto Rodríguez, technical director, informed that they will compete by regions: National District, Santo Domingo Province, South, East and North.

The first billboard will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday 12, the date on which the opening ceremony will also take place, 7:00 pm.

The second date will be at 4:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, and on Sunday the final evening will take place from 11:00 in the morning.

Opening ceremony

The ceremony that will open the hostilities in the Colosseum will begin with the parade of the participants, intonation of the National Anthem.

The first to speak will be Mr. Acosta in his capacity as president of the COD, then Minister Camacho and Mr. García, organizer of the event, will close the speeches.

The star boxer and member of the national team, Euri Cedeño, will take the swearing in of the athletes; while Juan Carlos Ramírez will take the oath to the judges, prior to the departure of the participating teams and the bell that will officially open the fair.
