Several users commented on how difficult it was to see the boxing legend go down in such an embarrassing way.
Legendary boxer Evander Holyfield’s return to the ring this Saturday at age 58 ended in the first round, when the heavyweight veteran was quickly defeated in a bout in Florida, in which he faced former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, 44 years old.
Once finished, the fight provoked a barrage of criticism and ridicule on the networks for the organization of the event.
“There was no need for this,” said one user.
“Whoever allowed this should be arrested.” commented sports journalist Arash Markazi.
Evander Holyfield is turning 59 years old next month. He hasn’t fought in 10 years. He wasn’t scheduled to fight as of two weeks ago. Whoever sanctioned this should be arrested. https://t.co/T0vRylF61s

Several users have commented on how difficult it was to see the boxing legend go down in such an embarrassing way. In addition, they pointed that the event organizers should be ashamed of what happened.
This was absolutely unfortunately. Luckily the referee was aware of how old Holyfield is. I feel guilty for seeing this fight. #HolyfieldBelfort

I understand the nostalgia of seeing retired champions give shadows of what they once were, but enough friends, it is more worthwhile to see the champions of the past do these roles, it is better to remember them at their best and not have sad memories at the time. final.
