The petenero’s first boxing title came in 2020, when he faced Mexican Uriel Gonzáles in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. On that occasion, three minutes were enough for Léster to defeat Gonzáles by way of knockout and at that time achieve his seventh victory as a professional, winning the Latin American belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC).
