henry cejudo he is a visionary for the sport of MMA and for him, a cross-promotional super fight is the cheat code for exponentially growing the mixed martial arts landscape in sports culture. The possibility of something like this happening is also not far from reality. Recently, it was announced that the two-time Olympic champion and undefeated mixed martial artist Kaila Harrison has announced that he has re-signed where he started after a long time as a free agent, Professional Wrestlers League (PFL).

The deal turned out to be lucrative in favor of Harrison, as the PFL assured that they will be open for a cross-promotional fight for her should she ever wish to raise her level of competition. An organization as flexible as PFL is bellator mixed martial artswhich currently features one of the greatest female mixed martial artists to ever grace the octagon in MMA history, Chris Cyborg. Cyborg is currently the women’s featherweight champion and Harrison fights at lightweight, so the weight difference is minimal, and this evokes the possibility of a mega fight down the line.

Henry Cejudo thinks an outdoor cross-promotional fight may entice the UFC to do the same, too.

In his podcast titled The Triple C and Schmo Showwho originally co-hosts along with sportswriter Dave Schmulenson aka El SchmoHenry Cejudo brought his head MMA coach, captain eric albarracín due to the unavailability of Schmo. Cejudo then went on to discuss the importance of a Harrison vs. Cyborg superfight and the impact it will make with its magnitude.

I think it’s a great idea, that Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg fight, says eyebrow “If they are able to unite and fight for real, I think they are going to change mixed martial arts forever. because they are two organizations that come together and that will only force the UFC to come out and say ‘Hey, we want to do the exact same thing’ and that’s how mixed martial arts come together to really be one to see who’s the best in the world.” Cejudo concludes.

What do you think of Cejudo’s assessment of a cross-promotional fight between Cyborg and Harrison? One way or another, “Triple C” has known both women since Cejudo started training Cyborg and the former also shares the same manager with Harrison. Who do you think will win between Harrison and Cyborg if the super fight ever comes to fruition?
