Creole boxing is in full swing in the AIBA Amateur Boxing World Cup, organized in Belgrade, Serbia. Yoel Finol, Christian Palacio, Miguel Ramos and Nalek Korbaj, were the 4 Venezuelan representatives who traveled to the European country in search of the world title, which is broadcast by Meridiano Television at 8 at night.

At the moment only 2 of those boxers retain the chances of proclaiming themselves champions, while the others were already eliminated in their first fights.

The boxers who advanced

One of the strong cards of Venezuela in this Amateur World Cup it is: Yoel finol, the silver medalist in the Olympic Games from Rio in 2016, he is one of the two Venezuelan boxers who has advanced to the round of the World Cup and is currently in the quarterfinals.

Now on November 2 in the afternoon of Belgrade (and broadcast on the screen of sports specialists at 8 pm) the Venezuelan boxer who competes in the 54-kilo category will face the Indian Akash Kumar, in the quarterfinals in search of a ticket to the semifinals of the World Cup event.

For his part Miguel Ramos Creole representative in the 51 kg category, is the other Venezuelan boxer positioned in an advanced round of the World Cup, since in his first fight he managed to prevail by unanimously (5-0) to Turkish Demir Ramazan.

In this way, Ramos advanced to the round of 16 where he will be measured today at Thanarat Saengphet hailing from Tabiteuea (a group of islands belonging to the Republic of Kiribati) for a passage to the quarterfinals. The fight will be broadcast on the sports specialists’ screen starting at 8 pm.

The knockouts
