The billboard could be one of the best in all of 2022
The evening of next September 4 at the Crypto Arena, in Los Angeles, California, could be one of the most remembered of 2022 due to the number of good boxing exponents that will step on the platform.
The night of emotions will begin with the fight between José Valenzuela and Jezreel Corrales, in which the American will expose his perfect record of 12-0-0 against the Panamanian who is willing to give the first surprise of the night.
“I trained very hard, and I am very confident about this new challenge. I’m going to give a show this Sunday. I feel that I have an advantage being a pupil of David Benavídez and his team. I was always one step ahead of others because of how I work hard behind closed doors”, detailed the American prior to his fight.
The night will continue with one of the most anticipated events, the return of former world champion Abner Mares, who returns to a professional fight after a four-year absence. Mares will face Miguel Flores in a fight scheduled for 10 rounds.
“I feel like I just fought a couple of months ago, and I had no hiccups in my preparation. The hardest thing is to get back into rhythm, but that just made me want to get better. I’m not putting pressure on myself, nor am I trying to be spectacular. I will unfold my experience and choose my moments. Wisdom comes with experience,” Abner detailed.
For his part, Miguel Flores knows that a victory could give a resounding turn to his professional career, because beating a three-time champion wears a lot and opens doors for promoters.
“I am excited to be here, especially fighting in front of Mexican fans in Los Angeles. I’m ready to put on a show Sunday night. Fighting a three-division world champion is quite a challenge, but I will be ready. We will both try to make the most of this opportunity”, said the fighter born in Spring, Texas.
Finally, in the co-main event Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz will face Eduardo ‘Zurdito’ Ramírez in an eliminatory battle for the World title in the Lightweight division by the World Boxing Council.
“I’m very motivated. I can’t get distracted as my only goal is to win this Sunday night and get a shot at the world title. The Mexican people know that this will be an arduous fight, but I know that I am capable of performing inside the ring, ”said Eduardo Ramírez, who will seek to place his name on the list of surprises for the evening.
For his part, Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz knows the need to go out with his hand raised to maintain his rise to the big races and fulfill his dream of becoming world champion.
“I am very satisfied with everything we have done during our training. Ramirez is a seasoned fighter who is always prepared, but so will we. Everyone knows what to expect in a ‘Pitbull’ Cruz fight. I will stay true to my strategy and do my thing,” promised the fighter from the capital.
Both Isaac Cruz and Eduardo Ramírez have assured that they can win the recognition of the fight of the night and leave the canvas boiling for the stellar fight that will star former world champion Andy Ruiz Jr. and Cuban Luis Ortíz.
