Three difficult equations for Spain in football

More than 1,500 troops will protect the Spanish capital this Tuesday, specifically the hotels concerned and the surroundings of the imposing Santiago Bernabéu stadium, venue for Real Madrid’s return match against Chelsea in England.

Same scenario, but a different situation to what happened between the meringues and Paris Saint Germain, when the locals came back with a triplet by Frenchman Karim Benzema for the lapidary 3-1. A week ago against Chelsea something similar happened, in the sense that the French striker scored another hat-trick for the same score of 3-1.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have the psychological and goal advantage. However, they already know that the English have tremendous physical power, with young figures in their squad (Mount, Havertz, Pulisic) and accomplished players (Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Jorginho).

Undoubtedly, the German coach of the Blues, Thomas Tuchel, will make changes to his tactical scheme, and if in principle the Italian Ancelotti hinted that he would repeat his approach (4-3-3), he also admitted that it was feasible to adjust to the opponent’s proposal.

With the question of whether the French side Ferland Mendy will be fit (if the injury persists, the Brazilian Marcelo would enter), the other names will be almost the same (Courtois; Alaba, Nacho, Carvajal and Mendy; Modric, Casemiro and Kroos; and Valverde , Vinicius and Benzema).

The only detail would be to delay the Uruguayan Valverde if he opts for a 4-4-2.

Also on Tuesday night there is perhaps a harder nut to crack, Bayern Munich, who receive Villarreal’s yellow submarine at the Allianz Arena, who left with a 1-0 lead in the first leg.

Bringing down the Bavarian bastion on its grounds will be a chimerical task. Lewandowski, Muller, Gnabry, Sané, Kimmich, they are too offensive to afford not to score again. Opposite, those of Unai Emery with the decision to endure, without forgetting the rival door with Gerard Moreno, Danjuma, Lo Celso, Pino, aim to neutralize the Teutons.

One day later, in the ideal scenario, the Wanda Metropolitano, those of Cholo Simeone will be required to the best performance of the Portuguese Joao Félix, the French Griezmann, the Belgian Correa, the Spanish Marcos Llorente and captain Koke, among others, to the crash. An opponent as well (De Bruyne, Foden, Sterling), with a prestigious coach, Pep Guardiola.
