TETLA.- Tlaxcalan boxing returns to the fight and wants to do it with its best hooks and jabs.
The plan is aimed at maintaining the results in national championships and having at least three boxers at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, said association president Abel Vargas Valencia.
“There are three boxers who can come to Paris, I look at them. I can talk about Oscar Pérez, he is a boy from Ixtacuixtla, Salma Zempoalteca, who is from Ayometla, and Alan de la Luz, who says he is going to stay in the Olympic sport.”
Another goal is to return to the Conade National Games and why not, return to the medal table.
“We have been working with several coaches that will allow us to have a better job and a better perspective to improve and qualify for at least the National Games. I think that now that is the task to classify and maybe in this same year 2022 we can have medals in these games”
To achieve this, they will strengthen the knowledge of the coaches so that they improve the training processes.
In 2021 the association closed with a couple of boxing matches, which will resume this year as soon as sanitary conditions improve.
