In the featherweight division, Evelyn Ramrez, from Jalisco, prevailed by unanimous decision over Angeles Gutirrez, from Coahuila, while the Oaxacan Yessy Velasco advanced over Rosa de la Luz, from Queretaro
Mexico City. – The activity of women’s boxing at the CONADE 2022 Nationals which takes place in the María del Rosario Espinoza Gymnasium in Culiacán, Sinaloa, delivered its first fighters who have secured a place on the podium and who will continue in the fight in search of the five titles in dispute in the contest that summons the best exponents of boxing in the country.
The featherweight (-57 kilograms) and welterweight (-69 kg) divisions in the youth category (17 and 18 years old), defined the competitors who will be contesting the semifinal round and therefore already have at least one in the bag. bronze medal with the intact aspiration to be consecrated with the gold medal, highlighting the performance of the Quintana Roo delegation, which installed two of its selected in said instance.
In the feather division, Evelyn Ramirezfrom Jalisco, prevailed by unanimous decision over Ángeles Gutiérrez, from Coahuila, while the Oaxacan Yessy Velasco advanced over Rosa de la Luz, from Querétaro, as well as the Quintana Roo Bárbara Alanís, who defeated Daniela from Sinaloa by points division Ruiz, while Tabata Morales, from Morelos, scored the only knockout of the day at the expense of Daniela Salazar, from Baja California Sur.
For her part, in welterweight, Rut Silva, from Nuevo León, won by RSC (Referee Suspends the Combat) in the first round against Nicole García from Sinaloa, just as Almendra González from Guerrero won unanimously over Sofía Daniel, from Mexico state. In more results, Quintana Roo’s Perla Zamora defeated Marlene López, from Chihuahua, by RSC in the third round, to complete the list through Keisha García, from Baja California, who won on points against Jhona Romero, from Veracruz.
The women’s boxing activity at the CONADE 2022 Nationals will continue with the third session, in which the quarterfinals will be played in the flyweight (-51 kg) and lightweight (-60 kg) divisions.
