Tom Brady received an 11-day leave of absence from the training camp of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, something the coach Todd Bowles assured it was planned in advance to deal with “personal things”.
Bowles He noted that the 45-year-old quarterback’s absence from practice had been scheduled prior to the start of preseason. He added that Brady won’t be back until after the Bucs’ preseason game at Tennessee on Aug. 20.
“Tom got a permit today. He has to deal with some personal things. This is something we talked about before starting the preseason. We set this time because we wanted to create cohesion with the team during two weeks of training, knowing that he would not be able to play the first two games (of preseason), “Bowles said after the completion of two days of practice against the Miami Dolphins.

When does Tampa start preseason?
Tampa Bay will open its preseason schedule on Saturday against the dolphins. The Bucs will also travel to Nashville for two days of training before being measured against the Titans.
The backup quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert, Kyle Trask and Ryan Griffin snaps will be split during Brady’s absence.
Brady, who retired in February only to change his mind six weeks later, also took a personal leave of absence last Friday, two days after taking a day off to celebrate his 45th birthday.
Bowles said he estimates “very high” his expectation that Brady will be in the starting lineup when he opens the regular season next month in Dallas.
“Based on our conversation, I’m not worried,” Bowles said.
