Tomorrow, Saturday, the 1st Boxing Evening ‘Ciudad de Motril’ will be held – Deportes Motril

Daniel Ortega, Councilor for Sports of the Motril City Council; Antonio Escámez, Deputy Mayor for Town Planning, Environment and Agriculture; the honoree Francisco Antúnez ‘El Romo’; and Edwin Murillo and Alberto García, representatives of the boxers, presented the schedule for the 1st Boxing Evening ‘Ciudad de Motril’ that will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 6 at 9:30 p.m. in the Motril municipal sports pavilion.

The initiative is of a charitable nature, all proceeds will be given to the Jesús Abandonado Social Dining Room in Motril, and will also serve as a tribute to Francisco Antúnez ‘El Romo’, a former Motril amateur boxer from the late 1960s.

The Evening is made up of eight amateur fights in which several emerging boxers from Jaén, Granada, Málaga and Cádiz will participate. It will also have a special guest, the Sevillian Carlos ‘Ratón’ Pérez, current champion of Spain in light weight. Tickets, the donation is ten euros, can be purchased at Bar El Paso, at Café Bar Aladino and at El Asador La Carbonería.
