Arequipa. The mystian boxers of the Naughty Boxing Knockout Academy did their thing in the National Interclubes Boxing Cup that took place from Thursday to Sunday on the first beach of the city of ‘Puerto Bravo’, in Mollendo.
We refer to Christian ‘Travieso’ Ticona and Omar Calderón who became champions after winning their three fights in the tournament organized by the Academia Pantera and the Provincial Municipality of Islay. Ticona, in the 67 kg, beat the opponents of Moquegua, Tacna and in the final beat ‘Halcón’ Ríos, from the Misti Boxing Academy.
Calderón, at 63.5 kg, followed the same path, accounted for the fighters from Puno, Tacna and sealed the first place with the victory over Cristian Fernández, from Valero Boxing.
“This victory goes to my family that is always supporting me, my mother Marisol Bobadilla and my father José Ticona, it also goes to Arequipa,” said Christian.
In this sense, Travieso Boxing became the best characata delegation in the competition and ranked third overall. Also Sakura Boxing Club, from Arequipa, took the podium, Diego Hernández conquered the title in 57 kg. While Brigitte Ito (52 kg) was placed second, in addition, José Carlos Ramos (80 kg) and Juan Carlos Puma (60 kg) finished third.
