The boxing companies Promociones Cornejo, of Panamanian Francisco Cornejo, and Prime Sport, of Aztec Octavio Cruz, will present an explosive card whose celebration date is set for next October 1.
The day ‘Tribute to world champions’ emerged from Panamanian boxing, will be held at the facilities of the Vasco Núñez de Balboa convention center, of the El Panama hotel, with a total of six fights and the participation of qualified local and foreign exponents of this sport discipline.
Likewise, Cornejo told La Estrella de Panamá that the event will be held in honor of the celebration of 104 years of existence of boxing as a duly organized sport in the Republic of Panama, with three regional titles in dispute.

The most relevant fight of the evening will be carried out by the Panamanian Azael ‘Candelilla’ Villar, who will cross shrapnel against the Aztec Daniel Martínez in a 10-round clash, where they will go in search of the Latin light fly belts of the WBO and Fecarbox.

The Mexican precedes with three wins in his last outings to the ring, achieving knockout records in those fights against opponents of notable seasons, which is why it is presumed that he will be a difficult contender for the local fighter.
Espinoza, 26, has 17 wins, one loss and nine knockouts.
In other interesting combats that complement the card, the Isthmian Pascual Hodgson vs. Yunior Menéndez, from the island of Cuba, comes into action at four rounds in the heavyweight category; Nehomar Cermeño, Venezuelan fighter, will clash with Creole John Valencia, in six episodes and weighing 130 pounds.

Another attraction of this function will be the presence of international women’s boxing, since in this fight Yanissa Castrellón, from Nicaragua, will meet, whose rival will be the Colombian Azucena Zúñiga, who is very close to the dispute of a world diadem.
