ANDl australian wrestler Alexander Volkanovski successfully retained the featherweight belt at the UFC 273 event played this Sunday in Jacksonville (USA) against the South Korean Chan Sung-jung.
Volkanovski, in his third title defense, looked superior from start to finish. Much faster and sharper than Chan Sung Jung. The Australian severely punished the ‘Zombie’. Once again he showed that the nickname is not given away. The less demanding version of the champion was several steps above the challenger.
Based on basic combinations, he sent Sung Jung to the canvas several times without difficulty. The Korean once demonstrated have a resistance out of the normal recovering from such punishment. They are famous for it and that was their only asset.
Volkanovski dominated forcefully. Chan Sung Jung based his strategy on riding out the tide and win the fight the fast way with an isolated action.
The Australian collided with a rock. The ‘Zombie’ did not stop taking a step forward looking for his opportunity. Still taking punches he didn’t want to give up. Chan Sung Jung insisted but the difference was rude. There was no fight. Only the heart of the applicant extended the fight until 45 seconds of the fourth roundwhen the referees stopped the fight.
