Former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort had no mercy on veteran Evander Holyfield and knocked him out after beating him down in the very first round of their all-star fight of boxing Triller Fight Club’s pay-per-view hit eight rounds at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida this past weekend.
Belfort overwhelmed Holyfield with his punches early in the fight, sending him to the mat before forcing the referee to step in to stop the fight.
Vitor Belfort challenged Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez to a boxing match in which $ 30 million is at stake, after the Brazilian knocked out Evander Holyfield on September 11.
“Canelo is not going to fight me at 185 (pounds), I promise you,” said the former mixed martial arts champion at the end of the confrontation with Holyfield. “He won’t dare to come, I promise you. If he does, he will have 30 million ”.
Belfort made his first fight in boxing, after Evander took over less than two weeks beforehand.
Originally the one who was going to be Vitor’s rival was Óscar de la Hoya, but the president of Golden Boy Promotions was infected with coronavirus and had to be hospitalized for a few days.
Vitor Belfort dominated Evander Holyfield, after the heavyweight legend was slow and imprecise at 58 years old.
When the Brazilian released the first blows, he realized that he put the American in poor condition and after a fall and did not respond, the referee decided to stop the match.
At the end of the fight Belfort also challenged YouTuber and now boxer Jake Paul to a fight, in which some 30 million would also be at stake according to executives of Triller.
