ViX+ Exclusive Global Combat follows four of the sport’s top training camps in the United States, Mexico and Spain.

TelevisaUnivision and Combate Global, the leading Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise, announced the premiere of a new MMA competition reality show for TelevisaUnivision’s recently launched streaming platform ViX+ for the United States and Mexico.

On Wednesday, August 24, viewers will be able to watch the first of six episodes on VIX+, offering an in-depth look at the vastly different cultures that exist within each of the world’s four most unique MMA training camps in Mexico, United States and Spain, and which serve as a breeding ground for the world champions of this highly competitive sport.

With this series, McLaren, also co-founder and creator of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), steps into the spotlight as “Mr. Campbell” and inserts his natural and sometimes heavy-handed, but always vocal, demeanor into the show.

Leading each gym is a distinguished trainer and teacher with a unique approach to the sport and a distinct system for preparing fighters for battle inside The Cage, bringing a distinct competitive element to the show as each episode will culminate in contests. Global MMA Combat that will pit fighters from different fields against each other.

Gyms competing in the series are Bonebreakers in Mexico City, Mexico; Goat Shed Academy in Miami, Florida; Saekson’s Academy in Los Angeles, California; and Uppercut Training Center in Barcelona, ​​Spain. Gyms will receive points based on their fighters’ performance in each match, with the one with the most points over the course of the series receiving an additional $50,000 prize.
