In the last few days it was the extraordinary assembly of the Dimayor, in which it was established that the Women’s Soccer League would not have a tournament this second semester, since there are not enough teams to hold it.

This decision has generated criticism and disagreements between soccer fans and athletes, because the women’s Copa América began yesterday, where the team won 4-2 against the Paraguayan team.

One of the first to pronounce on what happened was Guillermo Herrera, Minister of Sports, that with this negative announcement from Dimayor, he showed his dissatisfaction by stating that “I declare myself disappointed, I declare myself sad, the truth, because I did not expect that it would not be received, being the Dimayor the celebration of this competition for the second semester of the year”

Along with this, he announced that the ministry has a budget destined to increase women’s football and for this reason, he will meet in the coming days with the president of the Colombian Football Federation, Ramón Jesurún.
