There is less and less left for the end of the season and the Formula 1 must already be planning the calendar of the next season.

F1 will have to take into account several factors such as: the entry of the Qatari GP, Vegas Grand Prix or until Chinese GP.

There are also rumors about the return of the South African GP at the Kylami circuit, but this one does not seem as viable as the previous ones.

You also have to know that Formula 1 should not exceed the number of Grand Prix that may be held next season (the limit is 24 Grand Prix).

It might interest you: Scuderia Ferrari has had a chaotic season with several failures. Let’s review how many mistakes they’ve made this year

The circuits that currently have a contract with Formula 1

Currently there 21 circuits who have a contract at least until next year, or as in the case of Bahrain until 2036.

There are only 4 circuits whose contract expires this year and they are: Spa-Francorchamps, Monaco, Red Bull Ring and Paul Ricard.

Of these circuits, the easiest to fall for next year is Paul Ricard, due to the fact that he does not receive the support of the fans, among other reasons.

And also Spa-Francorchamps, especially because of what happened last season and maybe F1 doesn’t want to repeat that.

Although Monaco is also in limbo, since it is the only circuit that does not pay F1 for being in the premier class.

The Red Bull Ring does not believe because it is the home GP of the Red Bull team which is possibly the most important team in F1 today.

In other words, all the circuits other than the 4 mentioned above have a quota, at least until the last year of their contract.

The only thing that remains to be resolved is the continuity and contract of the circuits that end their contract and the order in which the 2023 calendar will be made.
