Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz has revealed his favorite fighter to watch compete today.

Ortiz was recently interviewed by Helen Yee and was asked for his favorite fighter to watch compete in mixed martial arts (MMA) right now. “The Bad Boy of Huntington Beach” named Michael Chandlerthe top-ranked lightweight, as your choice.

“One of my favorites to watch right now? I would have to say Michael Chandler,” Ortiz said. «The turn he has given his career has been incredible. He proves that hard work really pays off. The knockout he did against Tony, I was like‘Wow, Ferguson has never been knocked out like this’. But they caught him with a nice straight up kick, and he kind of freaked me out. Everybody’s cheering and yelling, I got up and I was like, ‘Oh my God, is he okay?’ She was gone for a minute… That’s scary«.

Chandler is without a doubt a great choice. “Iron” is currently riding the crest of one of the biggest knockout wins in UFC history.. He knocked out Tony Ferguson in the second round of their UFC 274 pay-per-view bout.

A front kick to the face nailed Ferguson perfectly, knocking him unconscious for the first time in his career. Chandler, a relative newcomer to the UFC and already a former lightweight title contender, ended a two-fight losing streak with this win.

As for his own Ortiz is preparing for a promised return to MMA before the end of the year. Ortiz has said that he is already in talks with an unnamed promotion about his comeback fight, but no opponent has been named so far.
