Women’s football joins the Sports Fair with the 1st ‘Ciudad de Albacete’ Trophy that will be played this Thursday, September 1, at the ‘Andrés Iniesta’ Sports City starting at 7 in the afternoon and will be played by the Albacete Fundación Women and the Valencia Women’s Football Club.

“We have a very extensive Sports Fair, full of events and that covers a wide range of sports disciplines, some already consolidated and others that are being released, such as women’s football”, explained the Councilor for Sports, Modesto Belinchón, in the presentation of this I Trophy ‘Ciudad de Albacete’ for Women’s Football, which he has hoped will attract the Albacete public to the field and contribute to promoting this sporting category even more.

In the presentation, the general coordinator of the Albacete Women’s Foundation, María José Carrilero, trusted that the match against Valencia CF Women would be “beautiful” and that this 1st ‘Ciudad de Albacete’ Trophy will be consolidated and “continue to grow Fair after Fair, to make this trophy as big as possible”.

Carrilero has invited those who are not yet fans of women’s football to take advantage of this I Trophy to watch this match to get closer to this category, “we want them to come, see us, get to know the team and thus promote women’s football and that every day the Sports City is filled with the public”, stressed the general coordinator of the Albacete Women’s Foundation who has trusted that throughout this season, in which they will face teams such as Osasuna, Éibar, Barcelona or Bilbao, the team consolidate in this category.

For his part, the sports director of the Albacete Women’s Foundation, Jacinto Rubio, thanked the Albacete City Council for its willingness to collaborate in the organization of this I Trophy, “which we believe is good for both women’s football, a growing discipline, as for the city itself. At this point, Modesto Belinchón has stressed that the Sports Fair, if possible, is thanks to “the work, involvement and commitment of all the city’s sports clubs, such as Albacete Balompié on this occasion.”
