The International Boxing Association (AIBA) officially announced this week that for the first time in its history they will offer cash prizes to medal winners at the next amateur world championship of the discipline to be held in Belgrade.
The agency plans to distribute a bag of $ 2.6 million to the winners of each category. Boxers who achieve the gold medal are expected to earn $ 100,000, $ 50,000 for the silver and $ 25,000 for the bronze. The world championship will take place between October 24 and November 6, 2021.
